11 new coronavirus cases confirmed, hike Uganda's infections to 870

KAMPALA- The ministry of health Uganda has confirmed 7 community cases among the 11 new Coronavirus cases got from 2,330 samples tested on 28 June 2020.

The 7 community cases were got among 546 samples from alerts and contacts while the other 4 cases were got from 1,784 samples tested at points of entry.

According to the ministry, the 7 cases got from contacts and alerts include; 6 from Tororo, 1 from Koboko and the 4 cases got at points of entry are truck drivers 3 of whom arrived via Malaba and via Busia and the 4th arrived from South Sudan.

It adds that 34 foreign truck drivers who tested positive for Coronavirus were handed over to their respective countries of origin.

Uganda now registers a total of 870 confirmed Coronavirus cases and 808 recoveries.
