KAMPALA: The leadership of Uganda’s tax body, the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has reshuffled more than 200 officers in the Customs Department across the country.
This is in line with the ongoing clearance of the authority under the new leadership of Musinguzi John Rujoki.
Abel Kagumire the Commissioner incharge of Customs through a June 29th 2020 memo shared to Commissioner General Rujooki, new changes take effect tomorrow Wednesday July 1st 2020.
Commissioner Kagumire in the same memo called on the Manager of Planning unit at customs to facilitate the smooth deployment process before Wednesday July 1st 2020.
The tax authority has since the beginning of 2020 had numerous staff changes including resignation of Dicksons Kateshumbwa, Assistant commissioner Large Tax Payers, Commissioner Large Tax Payers, commissioner for Domestic Henry Saka, Silajji Kanyesigye Baguma, and Samuel Kahima, tax auditor in Domestic Tax department.
