    Veteran Journalist Mutazindwa laid to rest in Kabarole district
    At the burial grounds at Mutazindwa's home in Fort Portal

    KABAROLE- Veteran journalist and former Vision Group Mbarara Bureau Chief, Francis Mutazindwa has been laid on Tuesday June 9th 2020.

    Mutazindwa was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Mugura Cell, Kigwengwe parish FortPortal Municipality in a scientific burial attended by a few dignitaries both from religious, media fraternity and government.

    The late Mutazindwa passed on Sunday June 7th 2020 at Kampala hospital losing the battle to pneumonia which he has been battling for four months.

    He is survived by a wife Betty Komujuni Mutazindwa and four children.


    He was until Sunday, been working for Revival Radio Station, an Ankole Diocese owned community radio station.

    With an eye for detail, business development and professional journalism, Mr. Mutazindwa rose through ranks to serve as Vision Group owned Radio West as General Manager and head of business for Vision Group, a position he held for a long time.
    Before he also worked as a news anchor for Radio West.

    Mr. Mutazindwa had also worked at Red Pepper Publications as Managing Editor, in the newspaper’s early stages.

    The media manager will be remembered for his vigour and energy in the newsroom and for breathing life into the media houses he was honoured to serve in.
