NEWS– Former Cranes captain George Semwogerere, who had contested for the position of lord councilor for Lukuli, in Makindye division, has expressed regret for having rejected early calls to acquire the on form National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket.

Semwogerere is another victim of the new “umbrella wave” movement that is advocating for voting of all NUP contestants at all levels regardless of all other factors.

He emerged second best, just behind the NUP candidate, and that’s how he missed the chance of representing his Lukuli people in the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) council.

Semwogerere contested as an independent candidate and lost,  but now blames himself for ignoring the NUP ticket which he had a chance to get easily.
