22 arrested in Kagadi over malicious damage

50-year woman arrested for battering grandchild into coma

KAGADI– The Police in Kagadi district are holding 22 people from Rwensenene B village in Mpeefu Sub-County Kagadi district on allegations of malicious damage.

The suspects are detained at Kagadi Central Police station. They reportedly attacked the home of Alex Tusingwire, a resident of Rwensenene village in Mpefu sub-county,demolished his house and other property early this year.

Francis Alinda, the detective Officer at Kagadi CPS said suspects accused Tusingwire of being a Witch behind the death of many people in the area.

Alinda says, police have been hunting for the suspects until they were arrested over the weekend.

The Officer warned the general public to desist from taking laws into their hands but rather report them to Police for further management.

Alina said that the suspects will be charged with threatening violence, malicious damage and criminal trespass.
