Former MPs get their Association Legally Registered

The Former Members of Parliament led by the Chairperson Hon Jacqueline Kyatuheire, at Golden Tulip where they unveiled their Constitution.

KAMPALA– The Executive Committee of Former Members of Parliament under their Parliamentary Alumni Association (PAU) yesterday held a meeting at Golden Tulip where the Executive unveiled and received a certifified Parliamentary Alumni Uganda (PAU) Association Constitution.

According to the Chairperson of the Association Hon Jacqueline Kyatuheire , the receipt of the certified constitution makes the Parliamentary Alumni Uganda (PAU) Association a legal entity.

While unveiling the acquisition of the Constitution, Hon Kyatuheire said that it was a big milestone for Parliamentary Alumni Association and this will enable them to start carrying out their activities.

” I take this opportunity and great honor to officially announce that Parliamentary Alumni Association is officially registered as an Association” Hon Kyatuheire who is also the Deputy Treasurer of the ruling National Resistance Movement said.

Hon Kyatuheire also congratulated all the PAU members for the decision to come together and urged them that together they can achieve more.

She observed that since the Association had finally received a legal entity the sky is no longer the limit and the can use it to better themselves and those of other people around them.

Hon Kyatuheire gave special thanks go to the Executive Members who have followed the registration of Association especially Hon. Fred Ruhindi for the untireless efforts to have the Parliamentary Alumni Association registered.
