KABALE– The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi Rt. Rev. Eng. George Bagamuhunda has asked Christians to do away with earthly desires and rather put their hopes in Jesus Christ who has risen from the dead.

Bishop Bagamuhunda made this call while preaching at St Peter’s cathedral church-Rugarama in Kabale Municipality on Easter Sunday.

Bishop Bagamuhunda said that many Christians have lost hope by trusting money and other forms wealth which have made most of them to part ways with Christ.

He reminded the Christians to know that those who seek Jesus Christ get him thus a need for every human being to rest their burdens in him if they are to succeed in life.

Bishop Bagamuhunda also argued Christians to know that the resurrection of Jesus Christ changes the past and God gives the power to overcome the devil.

He prayed to God to help Christians to seek him always in whichever situation so that he can help them.
