KAMPALA– Bishop Paul Ssemogerere has been appointed the Apostolic Adminstrator of Kampala Archdiocese.
He has been appointed by Pope Francis the head of the Roman Catholic Church.
Bishop Paul Ssemogerere 64, has been serving as the Kasana – Luwero Bishop and his appointment takes immediate effect.
His appointment was contained in the Pope’s representative in Uganda, Pope Nuncio, Archbishop Luigi Bianco as he delivered the prelate’s message at the funeral of Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.
Ssemogerere will act until Pope Francis names a new Archbishop of Kampala after the death of the late archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.
Paul Ssemogerere was born on 30th June 1956 in Kisibi, Wakiso District, Uganda.
He was appointed bishop of Kasana-Luweero on 4 June 2008.
