Rwashamaire Vocational institute slashes fees for students upgrading to diploma

NTUNGAMO– The Kajara county Legislator Hon Timuzigu Michael Kamugisha has hailed parents who have always taken time to educate their children.

Hon Timuzigu said this on Friday duing the 4th graduation of Rwashamaire Vocational Institute in Rwashamaire Town council Ntungamo District.

He thanked the director suplementing government efforts aimed at skilling Ugandans through putting up an institution which has enabled parents to have services nearer to them.

Hon Timuzigu pledged to lobby for the institution in order to develop to greater heights.

Mr. Kamahanga Dennis the Rwashamaire Vocational Institute director urged the graduands to aim higher and think about attaining more academic desciplines for their future betterment.

Kamahanga thanked all students who completed thier studies for being disciplined and giving the institution a good name. He promised to reduce on tution fees for every student who will come back to upgrade to diploma courses in the coming semester.

“I Know COVID-19 has hit hard our economy as a country and the Education sector was never spared, Parents’ incomes were interfeared as well. We however promise that each of you the graduands, if you want to come back to upgrade to a diploma, we shall admit you at a subsidized cost” Mr Kamahanga told the graduands.

The Institution’s principal Mr Kansiime Asaph noted that graduation is only a stop over but the education system is continuous. 

At least 425 students graduated in various disciplines.
