Former Gulu city RCC posted to Rukungiri District to replace embattled Kaguta


RUKUNGIRI– The Rukungiri District Administrators have on Monday  May 3rd 2021 welcomed the newly appointed Resident District Commissioner RDC Stephen Nsubuga Bewayo.

Bewayo is replacing the former RDC Dan kaguta who was forced into retirement by state house.

RDC Nsubuga recieved the appointment letter as the new RDC for Rukungiri from President Yoweri kaguta Museveni on 27th April 2021.

Bewayo told this reporter that his main role in Rukungiri is to supervise government programs and ensuring the security of District.

He asked for cooperation and hardwork among the residents as well as ensuring that the environment is safe for everyone to do productive works.

Nsubuga has for the last two months worked as the Resident City Commissioner RCC for Gulu city. He is the  former Executive Assistant to Esther Mbayo the Minister for the Presidency. He also served as the Prime Minister of Busoga kingdom in 90’s and as well as Jinja Municipality Mayor.

He has been serving as Resident District Commissioner for the past 11 years in districts like Amudat, Mubende, Zombo and Luuka.
