Education takes lion’s share in Bushenyi District’s next financial Budget


BUSHENYI– Bushenyi District Local Government has approved a UGX 36 billion for the 2021/2022 financial year.

The budget recorded a shortfall of UGX 5Bn from the UGX 41Bn passed in the ending financial year. 

The budget was presented before the district council by Anne Kisembo Bitwababo, the secretary for finance, planning and administration in today’s sitting at the District Council Hall.

Jaffari Bassajabalaba the Bushenyi District Chairperson said that the budget draft laid was innitially 32Bn but due to additional government Parish model funds, the budget was elevated by UGX 4Bn.

Bassajabalaba said that out of the total approved budget, education takes the lion’s share with 12Bn to cater for the wages and recruitment of the staff for Kabushaho seed school.
