BUSHENYI– Authorities in Bushenyi district are currently working around the clock to enact the presidential directives on banning the inter-district travels in a bid to curtail the spread of COVID-19.

Bosco Otim, the greater Bushenyi police commander says it’s very easy to handle and enforce the presidential directive on the inter district travel ban within the region only if the members of the public get to understand its essence.

Otim says if the community can understand the essence of the directive, then it will be easy for security to handle the directive.

The DPC goes on to appeal to the community to understand that their own activities are the ones to promote or reduce the spread of the deadly COVID 19, thus a need to cooperate with security agencies in enforcing the directives.

He further says that their personal are already alert at all district border points of Katunguru (Border with Rubirizi), Kooga (Border with Mbarara), Kagamba (Border with Ntungamo) among others to handle the some, adding that they work day and night.
