Ministry of Health records no COVID-19 recovery in past 24 hours as 1,422 test positive

KAMPALA– Uganda’s Health Ministry has recorded zero recovery and 1,422 new cases of COVID-19 per tests done on 13 June 2021 bringing the  cumulative confirmed cases to 64,251.

The recoveries per tests done on 12th June 2021 rose the cumulative recovery to 48, 480 however following the day’s results registered no single recovery.

This has raised worry among Ugandans as the Variant virus continues to spread and ravage the country.

On a worry note the country reported 25 COVID-19 deaths the highest number of deaths recorded in a day since the scourge broke out in March 2020.

The breakdown of the new cases are 1,421 Contacts and Alerts 1,043 of whom are from Kampala, Wakiso 162, Luwero 63, Mbarara 21, Tororo 21, Kibuku 13, Yumbe 10, Jinja 10, Mukono 9, Bulambuli 8, Mbale 8, Bugiri 7, Nwoya 8, Kable 5, Serere 4, Kalaki 4, Iganga 11.

Other cases are 2 from Mpigi, Kaliro 2, Kasese 1, Busia 1, Kikuube 1, Agago 1, Gulu 1, Mukono 1, Kibaale 1, Amuru 1, Masaka 1, Kamuli 1.

More Truck Drivers continued to test positive for the scourge with Kampala registering 2, and Elegu boarder point of entry 1.
