Tororo Pentecostal Church Bishop loses battle to COVID-19


TORORO– Bishop Robin Lukwang of Tororo Pentecostal Church has passed on after battling COVID-19 at Mbale Regional Referral Hospital.

The Bishop died on Tuesday morning June 15th 2021 and her demise has left the church leadership in a dilemma.

Topista Awori a close friend and Church Member  described the late Lukwang as a mentor, mother, friend to many, patient and understanding.

David Opio another Church member praised the late Lukwang for supporting him in 1988 together with her late husband  Late Bishop  Joseph Lukwang to become who he is today.

Nyapendi RoseMary also described the late Bishop Lukwang as an advisor, mentor, Mother and a friend.

Bishop Girado Olukol the leader of Tororo Pentecostal outreach ministries says that the nation has lost a great servant, mentor and mother to many street children whom she tirelessly brought up as the body of Christ and born again.

“She has been a great blessing for Tororo and Uganda  as a whole” Bishop Girado pointed out.

According to the tentative program accessed by our reporter, the late Bishop is slated to be buried on Saturday 19th June 2021 at Amasanja village in  Busia district.
