Tension mounts Masaka as 45 students test positive for COVID-19

KAMPALA– The cumulative Covid19 recoveries in Uganda has now reached 77,171 according to Ministry of Health.

This is after 1,381 new recoveries were recorded from 3,559 sample tests done on 24th July 2021.

The same sample tests confirmed 234 new cases rising the cumulative confirmed cases to 92,724 indicating a 6.6% test positivity rate.

The country has 688 Active cases on admission out of 1,452,677 Cumulative samples tested.

Uganda has todate administered 1,115,946 Total vaccine doses against COVID-19.

From the same tests, New 22 deaths were recorded hiking the Country’s Cumulative deaths toll 2,579.

The new cases are 234 Contacts and Alerts 131 of whom are from Kampala, Pader 31, Kagadi 20, Kalaki 10, Kakumiro, 9, Masindi 8, Apac 7, Oyam 6, Kyankwanzi 6, Wakiso 13, Bukwo 5, Kwania 5, Kapchorwa 5, Masaka 4, Kiboga 4, Katakwi 3, Gulu 3, Pallisa 3, Rakai 3, Kikuube 3, Luwero 3, Kabale 2 and Arua 2.

Others Mbale, Hoima, Mubende, Butaleja each with two cases, Amuru, Busia, Adjumani, Isingiro, Kabarole each registered one case.
