COVID-19 daily cases drop to 71 against 1,244 recoveries


KAMPALA– Hopes among Ugandans continue to raise high as results from the COVID-19 samples tests done on 25 July 2021 symbolise that the pandemic battle could be nearing the climax.

Results from the 1,614 samples, only 71 new cases were recorded raising the country’s total tally to  92,795 from 1,454,301 total tested samples. 

The results also confirmed only 11 new deaths in the country hiking the COVID-19 death toll to 2,590.

The ministry of health statistics show that 1,244 new recoveries were registered and brought the total recoveries to 78,415 since the outbreak.

A total of 631 Ugandans are on admission in health units as 1,135, 036 have received their doses against the virus.

The break down of new cases include 23 from Kampala, Kagadi and Bulambuli had 7 each, Hoima 5, Tororo, Katakwi and Bukwo had 4 cases each, Pallisa 3, Kumi, Oyam and Butaleja with 2 cases each.

Others are; Iganga, Terego, Kakumiro, Bukwo, Mityana and Soroti each with a single case.

Other 2 positive cases were truck drivers from Mutukula border point of entry.
