Three more guns recovered in the Karamoja disarmament operations


KARAMOJA– The Joint Security task team has recovered  three more guns from karimojong warriors in continued disarmament operations.

According to AIP Mike Longole, the Mt Moroto Ag. Police spokesperson, the guns are No. 15508 which was recovered from Loduu Talep a resident of Pupu village, Pupu parish, Rupa sub county Moroto district, No. UG 6351 2000 recovered from Lokong Lokiru a resident of Lokitela Kapus village, Lokisire parish, Lotisah sub county with 4 rounds and another one recovered from Loyor keem of Pupu village, Pupu parish in Rupa Subcounty in Moroto district.

This comes just days after the Joint security task team recovered four guns in Lomania village Loletyo Sub-county in Kotido District arresting two suspects.

Today’s recovered guns bring the total number of recovered guns to 22 since 19th July 2021.
