Suspected thief lynched by angry mob in Namayingo

NEWS– A suspected thief has been lynched by angry residents at Budhola village, Buswale sub county in Namayingo district.

The deceased is said to have tried to steal a motorcycle No. UFF 421R from a Boda rider only identified as Ngolobe Robert at Lumboka swamp.

Ngolobe, a boda boda rider narrated that the man nearly finished his life by strangling but was saved by residents who heard his wail and rushed to the scene.

The Namayingo Resident District Commissioner Kakooza Yahaya confirmed the incident and warned residents against taking the law into their own hands.

Kakooza noted that the body of the yet to be known man was conveyed to Buyinja Health Center IV pending Postmortem.
