Police recovers gun used to kill Mbarara City Policeman

MBARARA– The Police in Mbarara have today 10th September 2021 recovered the murder gun that was used to kill Corpal Agaba Richard.

According to the Rwizi Region Police Spokesman Samson Kasasira, the gun used to kill the late Agaba was revovered from the banana plantation 50 meters away from the crime scene.

Kasasira told Journalists that the banana plantation belongs to Ngabirano Vincent in Mbaguta Cell, Ruharo Ward, Kamukuzi division in Mbarara City the exact area where Agaba was murdered from.

Kasasira said that the Police was alerted by the owner of the garden after his casual worker Namugumya Agnes saw it while she was working in the garden on Friday morning.

The Police headed by the DPC Mbarara and a team of detectives proceeded to scene and recovered the Gun SAR NO.2691820 with a cartridge stuck in the chamber and it has been taken exhibit pending ballistic tests and fingerprint lifting.

Kasasira said that the recovery of the killer gun indicate that the unknown thugs took off with the gun which they grabbed from the late Agaba after the incident.
