NEWS– Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has set dates for end of semester examinations.
According Prof Moses Muhwezi, the MUBs Deputy Principal the end-of-semester one academic year 2020/21 examinations will be conducted between Monday 27th September to Friday 8th October 2021.
In his letter dated 13th September 2021, Prof. Moses Muhwezi revealed that these exams will be in form of alternative online assessments since students had earlier failed to complete their curriculum.
Prof. Muhwezi said that this was resolved in the Makerere University Senate meeting held on 9th August 2021 together with MUBS Management.
According to Prof. Muhwezi, students will starting from next week Wednesday be trained on how to use the MUBS e-learning platform which he said will be used in the online assessment.
MUBs becomes a second institutions of higher learning to reopen online to complete a semester that was halted prematurely joining their counterparts at Makerere University.
It should be remembered that learning institutions across the country remain closed since 18th June 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic with no clear information on when they will be allowed to reopen.
On 13th Monday 2022, Janet Museveni the Education Minister revealed in a letter that the closure of the learning institutions is intended to protect the country’s population and not to punish learners as many allege.
The minister appealed to learners above 18 years and teachers to get vaccinated as the government plans on how safe they can reopen learning institutions.
