Bishop Bagamuhunda commissions Rugarama School of Nursing new bus


KABALE– The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi Rt. Rev. Eng. George Bagmuhunda has urged the students and management of Rugarama School of nursing and midwifery to stay focused on excellence if they are to achieve more in future.

Bishop Bagmuhunda made the remarks while commissioning a bus reg. no. UBK 554S of Rugarama School of nursing and midwifery, found in Northern Division, Kabale Municipality.

The bishop appreciated parents, the board, the management and students for their commitment and working together in fulfilling this noble cause of purchasing a school bus. 

He urged everyone who has contributed to the purchase of the vehicle to continue with teamwork spirit which in the end will bring in other big things.


Atuhaire Allen Catherine, the principal of Rugarama School of Nursing and Midwifery noted that school the management committee, board of governors brainstormed the School bus idea in 2018.

She appreciated Bishop Bagamuhunda, parents, board and management who contributed much towards this purchase stressing that it’s a milestone for the school since the bus was not a donation from anyone but their effort.


Dr. Gilbert Mateeka, a medical supretendant at Rugarama Hospital thanked God who has enabled them achieve this and everyone who contributed to the purchase of the vehicle. 

He said that the vehicle will help to reduce the costs of hiring transport means for students’ field work among others.
