Police finally identifies Swift Safaris bus suicide bomber


KAMPALA– The Uganda Police Force have finally identified the person behind Monday evening Swift Safaris bus bomb attacker.

According to Enanga, the Police Spokesperson, they have confirmed that the bomb explosion at Lungala- Mpigi was a suicide bomb attack.

The suicide bomber has been identified by Police as Matovu Isaac, a 23-year-old, resident of Kamuli A-Zone Kireka.

“Matovu died on the spot during the attack and was on the wanted list of the ADF sleeper cells, and we were tracking him as Mustafa,” said Enanga.

The revelation also caught the attention of the President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who ran to his Twitter account to announce the news deemed great to the Countrymen and Women.

“This is to inform you that the person who died in the Ishaka – bound bus yesterday, was a terrorist (mutujju) by the names of Muzafala, but also calling himself Isaac Matovu” Museveni tweeted.
