Two other armed suspected ADF rebels arrested in Kisoro


KISORO– The police in Kisoro district have arrested two armed men suspected to be ADF fighters in a joint security operation led by retired Capt Peter Mugisha the Kisoro RDC in Nyakabande Transit Camp.

This comes after Two guns heading to Kampala were intercepted at Bismakan bus park in Kisoro District.

Capt Mugisha together with UPDF and Uganda police went to Nyakabande Transit Camp in an operation to search for deadly tools which can cause terror in the community and confiscated hundreds of sharp objects which include machetes, Hammers, Saws, knives among others.

The RDC said that the duo who they arrested was caught with sacks full of petroleum and other objects and were taken for interrogation.

He further said that they could be very many ADF rebels in Nyakabande Transit Camp who entered Uganda through Bunagana border when the war erupted in Congo.

In the operation, they also confiscated fake UNHCR Cards of which some Refugees had and Ugandans who forge them to join refugee Camps.

However the UNHCR authority asked the security to always do operation without allowing the media to access the Camp.
