NTUNGAMO– The south Ankole Diocesan Mission Coordinator Venerable Rev Canon Yokana Nyebikira Mujungu has asked Christians to always thank God for the gift of life and achievements they register.
Venerable Rev Canon Nyebikira made the remarks on Tuesday during a thanksgiving service he led at St Peters’ Kabumba COU in Kitunga archdeaconry, Kajara county in Ntungamo district organized by lay the reader Ivan Tayebwa Gambanokora and his wife upon completing a certificate in theology at Uganda Bible Institute Mbarara.
He lamented that some believers don’t appreciate God’s for creating them, promoting and securing them to serve his people saying that life is for the short time like a decoration.
Ven Nyebikira hailed lay reader Gambanokora for organizing a thanksgiving to thank God who enabled him to complete studies which coincides with ordaining him to be Reverend Deacon who will be ordained at St Mathews’ Cathedral Kyamate on December 5th, 2021.
The archdeacon of Kibatsi Ven Rev Canon Arthur Twinamatsiko asked Christians to always be patient while petitioning God for their worries because God makes His things at an appropriate time.
The Nkongooro parish priest Rev Canon Dorcus Turyamureeba thanked all Christians of Nkonooro parish for cooperation and zeal to develop the parish.
The ordinand Ivan Tayebwa Gambanokora extended gratitude to Rev Can Dorcus Turyamureeba and Christians of St Peter’s Kabumba COU for praying and being supportive towards his education.
Ivan Gambanokora who has been a lay reader for Kabumba for Ten years noted that he had organized thanksgiving before being promoted to Rev Deacon to thank God for everything wholesome and Godly.
Christians could not hide their happiness for their lay reader becoming a deacon and presented to him gifts.
