KAMPALA– Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta, today morning arrived in Uganda for a one day private state visit.
Farouk Kirunda, The Deputy Presidential Press Secretary Farouk Kirunda has confirmed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s visit and described it as a normal private visit.
According to State House officials, during the one-day visit, the Kenyan leade held bilateral talks with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State House, Entebbe.
Its reported that Uhuru Kenyatta flew into Uganda after concluding a three-day state visit of South Africa, where he also held bilateral talks with his counterpart, President Cyril Ramaphosa.
However, It is not clear why Uhuru Kenyatta is in Kampala for a private visit, but what is clear is the fact that the Kenyan President embarked on the planned visits to South Africa and Uganda following the recent visit to Kenya of the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
Prior to the Ugandan visit, the President of Kenya had also earlier held private talks with the top leadership of Ethiopia led by the Prime Minister, Dr Abiy Ahmed and the President, Sahle Zewde.
