KANUNGU– Kanungu Deputy Resident District Commissioner Gad Ahimbisibwe Rugaju has appealed to the general public to always support the security agencies by providing information whenever there is need and also avoid politicizing issues by relying on rumours.

RDC Ahimbisibwe Rugaju made the remarks yesterday while addressing the residents of Kazinga 1 village, in Rwanga Ward in Kihihi Town Counci who stormed his office demanding an explanation why 5 suspects in the murder of Pius Magoba Rwaboona have not been taken to court.

The residents claimed that the suspects who were picked by the Police recently following the brutal murder of Magoba were colluding with some people to have them released from Police and that’s why they have not been taken to court.

However, the Deputy RDC asked the aggrieved residents to remain calm since the Police had already arrested the suspects and was in final stages of handing the file to the Resident State Attorney to sanction charges of murder so that they are produced in court.

Speaking to the same group, Kihihi Town Council Mayor Sostine Buregyeya asked the residents to cooperate with the Police in the investigations if they want justice to prevail saying that the perpetrators of the late Magoba murder will be punished according to the law.
