URA rallies public to embrace paying taxes

NEWS– The Uganda Revenue Authority URA has encouraged all citizens to pay their taxes stressing that it’s essential to the country’s economic independence.

This call was on Thursday 25th November 2021 sounded by Ishta Nazziwa Kyambade the Assistant commissioner Administration at Uganda Revenue Authority at a function of finalising rewarding the most compliant taxi payers in Southwestern region where 5 taxpayers were awarded with certificates and other gifts.

Nazziwa appealed to all taxpayers to collaborate with URA and pay taxes inorder to develop Uganda together

Matthew Mugabi, the Assistant commissioner Tax Investigations said URA will continue appreciating taxpayers and motivating them to continue paying their taxes.

The URA Taxpayers Appreciation Season will run up to December 2021 under the theme: “30 years of Developing Uganda Together.”
