Grisly Kyegegwa road accident kills 4, injures 14


NEWS– Four people are believed to have died in a fatal accident along Kampala- Fortportal road in Kyegegwa District.

According to an eyewitness, a double cabin pick up from Kampala heading to Fort Portal collided with a taxi that was heading towards the opposite direction.

Our reporter has been able to establish that among the Four on spot fatalities included UBOS employees.

Three men of the dead were passengers in taxi and one woman identified as Asasira was in the double cabin pick up. 

Eyewitnesses say the cause of the accident was a boda boda rider who tried to cross the road. 

Information further reveals that 8 of the injured are females while six are men.

They have been rushed to Kyegegwa health centre IV, others to Mubende and Buhinga hospitals for medical attention.

By press time, Police was yet to issue a statement on the cause of the accident.
