BREAKING! EX-Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality MP Cowboy succumbs to COVID-19


BUSHENYI– It’s a mourning Sunday for Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality natives and the country as a whole following the death of the area former legislator Arinda Gordon Cowboy.

News reaching out desk indicates that the former member of Parliament succumbed to COVID-19 after battling the scourge at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.

Hon now the Late Arinda represented Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality in the 10th Parliament though he in 2021 lost the election to Derrick Kabuura.

His death comes at a time when the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 test results done on 7th January 2022 confirm 984 new cases. 

The new cases increased the cumulative confirmed cases to 153,762. 

The new cases include 974 Alerts And Contacts with Kampala recording 465 cases, Wakiso 137, Luweero 61, Soroti 53, Gulu 46, Jinja 46, Mbarara 33, Mayuge 30, Kiruhura 15, Kalangala 14, Moroto 9, Adjumani 8, Kikuube 8, Masindi 6, Buliisa 6, Amuru 7 and Kalungu 5.

Others are Iganga, Kyotera and Arua each with 5, Mukono 3, Koboko 3, Hoima 4, Busia 5, Kabarole 3, Yumbe, Kalaki, Bududa, Tororo, Wakiso and Mbale each registered two cases. Masaka, Namisindwa, Kabale, Nebbi, Pakwach, Kiryandongo, Amuru,, Bukwo, Koboko, Kisoro and Kanungu each registered a single case.
