Former Minister Karooro mourns fallen former Legislator Cowboy


BUSHENYI– Former Bushenyi district woman Member of Parliament Canon Mary Busingye Karooro Okurut has joined magnitudes of Ugandans to mourn the fallen Former Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality Member of Parliament Hon Arinda Gordon Cowboy.

Hon Arinda Gordon Kakuuna reportedly succumbed to covid-19 at Mbarara regional referral hospital on Sunday 9th January 2022 at around 6pm.

Cowboy served in the 10th parliament when Hon Mary Karoro was still serving as the Bushenyi district woman Member of Parliament.

The special presidential advisor on public relations Canon Karoro said that Bushenyi and Uganda at large have lost a very hardworking and caring person who loved to serve his nation tirelessly.

“It’s so sad to learn about the passing away of Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality former legislator Hon Arinda Gordon Cowboy, my sympathies to his relatives and friends. We shall live to remember your efforts in delivering services to Ugandans, may your soul rest in eternal peace”, Karoro said.

The late Arinda Gordon Cowboy was born in Kabuba, Kyeizooba sub-county in Igara East, Bushenyi district.

However, he had a residence in Nyaruzinga, Central division, Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality.

He lost the parliamentary seat to Hon Derrick Kabura Beimukye in the controversial NRM 2020 Primary elections.
