Former Kanungu NRM Woman Parliamentary candidate appointed PPDA Tribunal Appeals Board Member

Ms Charity Kyarisiima Mbabazi swearing in as a member of Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Tribunal Appeals Board yesterday.

NEWS– The former Kanungu NRM Woman Parliamentary candidate Charity Kyarisiima Mbabazi has been appointed a Member of Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Tribunal Appeals Board.

The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Tribunal Appeals is mandated to provide quality adjudication in Public Procurement and Disposal of public Assets Disputes in accordance with Principles of Natural justice.

Ms Mbabazi was on Thursday sworn into office together with Ms Patricia Asiimwe to join other Board members chaired by Francis Gimara, and include Nelson Nerima, Eng Thomas Isanga, Geoffrey Nuwagira Kakira, Paul Kalumba.

Ms Kyarisiima Mbabazi was a contestant for Kanungu Woman Member of Parliament in National Resistance Movement primary elections in 2016 and 2021 where she lost to the eventual winners who went on to become MPs.

She has been at the forefront in mobilising women in Kanungu to become economically empowered and stop depending on her spouses, helped to start women groups which have turned into self sustaining Saccos in their communities.

The members of the PPDA Tribunal Appeals Board take a group photo yestrday after new members were sworn into office.

Ms Mbabazi was until her appointment at the PPDA Tribunal Appeals Board a lecturer at Great Lakes Regional University in Kanungu.
