NEWS– The two time Rubanda East parliamentary Aspirant Dr. Joseph Tindyebwa has shown his interest to contest in the 2022-2027 East African Legislative Assembly seat on FDC political shade.
Tindyebwa who is the Forum for Democratic Change’s (FDC) Deputy Secretary General in charge of policy and Research hails from Rwara Cell, Karukara Ward, Hamurwa Town Council in Rubanda District, South Western Uganda.
In a letter seen by our reporter dated 20th December 2021 addressed to the 11th legislators, Dr. Tindyebwa is appealing to MPs to consider at least an FDC representative because the party has missed on this slot for the last 10years.
“Dear Honourable Members of 11th Parliament of Uganda I humbly consult you for a great blessed offer to support my candidature in togetherness i.e. ”UMOJA” , here by appeal to you to consider at least once again after 10 years FDC missed in action for EALA representation, that I may be given mandate vote for me during the fourth coming elections. Our numerical strength as second in number leading opposition requires us to be given a chance for one slot to Represent Uganda in EALA 2022-2027”.
Dr. Tindyebwa added that If given the mandate, his commitment will be on 10 points which include Team Work with all political shade /parties and EALA representatives in the code “Operation UMOJA” , Enhance the success of East African Federation that strengthen our policy for free trade across borders, economic integration, Appreciating the need to use one monetary currency as a fiscal policy that controls inflation, Promote one common language that is Kiswahili that can unite us together.
Among other issues he raised are Promoting genuine political federation that favors all especially citizenry members that strives for social and economic survival, Promote Pan Africanism, Strive to end-neo-colonialism, Radical enhancement of investment partnership, Adhere to uniform universal democratic principles that work for East Africa member states.
He also wants to build a unified strong social- economic technology and industrial base to end unemployment, poor education and poor health service, road, railway and air infrastructure services.
