And by today a liter of petrol stands between 4,990 and 6,100 shillings among the few with fuel in Kabale district.

In an interview with motorcyclists, Ivan Muhumuza and Katushabe Rwanyarare in kabale, they narrated that to get fuel, one has to first move distances in struggle for it.

They told our reporter that due to the hiked price of fuel, it’s a bit rough for them to get passengers unlike in the past days where businesses were normal. The two have appealed to the government to set a standard price for fuel to be followed by all petrol stations for them to earn normally.

Shell Kigezi’ workers supervisor, Esau Tumushabe says that at the start of this week they had overwhelming customers because their price was a bit lower compared to other fuel stations in town.

He revealed to our reporter that by yesterday morning the little fuel that had even remained was also consumed.
