Mubende DRDC Birungi to arrest parents of children with school going ages in washing bays


NEWS– The Mubende Deputy Resident District Commissioner Abubaker Birungi has warned teachers against absconding from duty stressing that the habit isn’t good for the Education of Ugandan children.

Deputy RDC Birungi who was on Schools inspection in the district warned parents against leaving their children to drop out of schools to work at washing bays adding that they will arrest all the parents and employers of such school going age children.

The visit saw DRDC Birungi tour Katente East and Nabingola Primary Schools as well as Kasenyi secondary and Bageza seed schools respectively.

DRDC Birungi who’s also an Educationist advised teachers to always mind much about lesson planning since it’s the basis of guaging the learners’ performance and evaluation.

The President’s Representative hailed the National Resistance Movement Government and the Ministry of Education and Sports for funding the renovation of school’s narrating that the activity is smoothly going on.

His visit comes days after Schools reopened for second term of academic year 2022 and the nature of his appointment mandates him to monitor the progress and implementation of all Government programs where Schools belong.

“The office of the President’s Representative here in Mubende won’t sit and relax when parents are not playing their role in educating their children even with several government’s intervention of UPE and USE” Birungi told the press.

The RDC is concerned that once this habit isn’t dealt with at this stage, the District will have feature trouble since such drop outs tend to become criminals after failure to make it in life.
