President Museveni commends State Prosecutors for deligently executing their work


KAMPALA– President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, on Thursday met a delegation from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions led by the Director Justice Jane Frances Abodo at State House, Entebbe.

During the meeting, the Director of Public Prosecutions Justice Abodo decried low staffing, low salaries and threats on them as some of the challenges they face in executing their duties.

Its reported that there are only 300 prosecutors across the country yet the volume of work being handled is too much.

In his speech, President Museveni thanked the team from the Office of the Public Prosecutions for their service despite the challenges they face.

He asked them to remain patriotic, avoid corruption, be steadfast while doing their work and on the issue of salary, the President agreed with the team that it would be handled.
