Pallaso to mash up Kigezi revelers in Ekirigime kya Radio Rukungiri 2022


RUKUNGIRI– Team good music boss Pallaso Mayanja has vowed to thrill Rukungiri district and Kigezi region revelers with a marvelous performance at Ekirigime Best Kya Radio Rukungiri.

“Ekirigime” is a code name for the annual event of a Rukungiri based radio station 96.9 FM Radio Rukungiri.

The day observed annually is always characterized with performances from different lead artistes of the respective times as well as a number of entertainment activities ranging from football, sack race, rope pulling among others.

Ekirigime Best 2022 comes at a time when Ugandans have been in national lockdown since the outbreak of the novel covid-19 that forced the revelers from attending concerts and events of such nature for the previous two years.

Slated for Friday June 10th 2022, Ekirigime Best comes at a time when Pallaso is the looked at by many as a leading and top brand in Uganda’s music industry.

Pallaso currently has a number of songs ranging from Malamu, Mpa Love, Nalonda Nemala among others all that have hit the airwaves of most media houses on the land be it Radio or Television.

The Good music boss has since told our report that he is ready and prepared to perform all his music from his song number one till his latest projects.

Benjamin Kwikiriza the Radio Rukungiri Station Manager confided to this reporter that all is already set for tomorrow’s event promising that all the artistes have already confirmed to perform for the revelers.

Apart from Pallaso, the day will be graced with performances from Western Uganda’s best Ray G known for his number of hit songs and tremendous stage performance.

Other performers Rab J, Twashuba Twanywa hit Fact Zamaani, Rasta Dog, Allans B and Menzo, Phantom dancers, Jabba Walkers and many others.

Another artiste that revelers are yawning to interact with is Lady Joan known to many as Nyamunyonyi who for the previous has colonized the airwaves given the love of her songs Nyamunyonyi and Nkunzi yangye.

 For Christians and other gospel loving revelers, the station has already lined up a number of gospel artistes including Mbarara City’s Best Emily, Peterson MA from Kigali Rwanda, Dr Stevo from Sheema and many others.

According to Kwikiriza, the day will commence with Aerobics/ gymnastics, a friendly match with the Uganda People’s Defence Forces UPDF and later in the day with the Rukungiri district business community.

In addition to the above entertainment, Century bottling company the makers of Coca Cola and related products have offered to give free drinks to the first 5,000 people to enter the Rukungiri main stadium where the event will be held. Each reveler will be required to pay Ugx 10,000 to enjoy full entertainment from Friday morning till Saturday.

Other day’s activities will include pool and volleyball tournaments where winners will walk away with goats.
