“Don’t let your families become grounds for politicians’ noise”, Parents told


BUSHENYI– Parents have been challenged to educate their children and avoid being used by politicians during campaigns.

This was sounded by Ayebazibwe Anatoli, the Chairman Management committee of Ryamabengwa Primary School in Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality during a function held to celebrate good performance in the 2020 Primary Leaving Eexamination results.

Ayebazibwe said it’s unfortunate to find the whole family working as political campaigners for a politician who even doesn’t know that they exist.

“You find your son is chief noise maker, father is the one who blows vuvuzela but you can’t find such in families where children are literate”, He said.

Nkahikaho Silver, the Headteacher of Ryamabengwa Primary School, thanked parents and all stakeholders for supporting the school to such an achievement.

He said in the 2020 PLE examinations, in a class of 43 candidates, 30 passed in Division one while the remaining 13 passed in Division II.

The chief Guest was the Central Division chairperson Mucunguzi Evarist who awarded various gifts to P.7 teachers as an appreciation for their hardwork.

Other dignitaries were Dan Mugyenyi, Municipal Education Officer, Mwebaze Dezi chairman PTA who is also the Ryamabengwa ward Councilor LC4  among others.

Ryamabengwa Primary school (St Francis) is found in Ryamabengwa cell/ward, Central Division in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality. It started in 1981 with a current enrollment of 428 pupils.
