“Marriage is an institution, embrace it” couples advised

RUKIGA– Married couples have been encouraged to always reflect on the marriage vows if they are to be prosperous in their families.

This was revealed by Monday Richard Kakye of All saints Church Kabale while preaching to newly wedded couples who were being ordained into Fathers and mother’s Union, at St Emmanuel Church of Uganda Muhanga Parish under Nyabirerema Archdeaconry in Kigezi Diocese.

23 men and one woman were fully ordained as Fathers and Mothers Union members in the Anglican faith.

Monday Richard who has been in Marriage for 26 years with his one wedded wife who joined preaching in 1992 as a young boy encouraged couples that they should not expect only happiness in marriage but at times there will be ups and downs.

He further told Married women and men to not put on Union Uniforms which are always in a white colour “identifying purity in marriage” and blue “identifying Love in marriage” to just appear different from others but to work towards Protecting the holy marriage.

The preacher also said that a family is for happiness not war, thus calling upon men to love their wives as the wives also play their role of respecting the husbands.

“When you choose the best, you leave the Rest” Mr. Monday Richard told the congregation.
