NKD Sunday School teachers inducted on instilling Christian values into Children

RUKUNGIRI– The North Kigezi diocesan caretaker Bishop Patrick Tugume Tusigwire has called upon Sunday school teachers in the diocese to always reach out to all children  in order to facilitate spiritual learning and development of strategy for nurturing of children.

Caretaker Bishop Tusingwire made the remarks on Tuesday as he opened up a two day workshop of Sunday school and mission teachers  across the diocese.

The workshop is organized by the church of Uganda directorate of education and child Ministry taking place at Canon Beatrice Ruhindi Mothers union Training Centre.

The Bishop asked the participants to use the knowledge they will be equipped with to transform and educate children in their respective churches across the diocese so that they can know their roles in the kingdom of God.

He thanked the church of Uganda secretariat for considering their diocese in skilling the children’s trianies.

Rev Richard Rukundo the Church of Uganda provincial youth and children coordinator who is heading the workshop said that the aim of the workshop is to equip the children trainers with more knowledge in both churches and schools so that they can train children at an early age to follow the right things rather than being spoilt at an early age.

Rev Rukundo called upon men to always cooperate with women in raising up their children morally upright because a number of children have increased on streets, some involved in drug abuse, acts that are intolerant to the community.
