JUST IN! State House breaks silence on purported Gen. Salim Saleh’s death


KAMPALA– The Ugandan State House has cleared air on rumors of President President Museveni’s brother Gen Akandwanaho Caleb aka General Salim Saleh’s death.

The state House Deputy public relations officer Farouk Kirunda alerted the public via his Twitter handle that such rumors should be treated as fake.

According to Kirunda, the President has not issues such a tweet adding that Gen. Saleh who is also the Operation Wealth Creation Coordinator is well handling some assignments.

“PUBLIC ALERT: This is a fake Twitter account. H.E the President has not issued such a tweet, and Gen. Saleh is alive and well on his OWC assignments. Kindly, ignore!” Kirunda tweeted.

News has been awash different social media platforms questioning the silence of the General who wasn’t heard throwing any word of comfort to the family of his fellow bush mate Gen Elly Tumwine when he passed on.

Gen Saleh recently advised people to find solutions to the different challenges targeting better livelihood instead of discussing his health.

“Some people have announced me dead but I am here in Nakaseke [District] talking to my people. Tell those that are spreading the false rumours that we have seen Saleh working and mobilising people to get better through engaging in development projects,” he said.
