President Museveni’s representative roots for quality work


NTUNGAMO- The Deputy RDC Ntungamo Niwamanya Robert Kamuntu has commissioned two newly constructed and furnished classrooms, with office, store and five stance latrine at Kyamate Integrated Model Primary School.

While commissioning the project worth Ugx 283.6 million on Friday, Deputy RDC Kamuntu implored contractors to maintain quality work if they are to get more projects from the government.

He noted that the office of the RDC will not hesitate to terminate or decline to commission any shoddy work sighted in the district.

Kamuntu commended supervisors of the project for the work done and thanked the government for such projects.

The chairman Ntungam District Muchunguzi Samuel Rwakigoba Ssalongo stressed that school enrollment will not be realized if performance is poor saying that since they have acquired new classrooms it’s upon the teachers to double their efforts on academic excellence.

Governor Muchunguzi told parents and all stakeholders that it’s their sole obligation to monitor and supervise the school for better performance.

The south Ankole diocesan secretary Rev Canon Yoram Ntoreine also emphasizes good performance noting that a good address is not beautiful buildings but performance tasking teachers to sacrifice for the children.

The Ntungamo Municipal Education Officer Nabaasa Gordon appealed to the school management to maintain the buildings in good shape.

The chairman school management committee Kyamate Integrated Model PS Namanya Joshua commended the cooperation exhibited during the construction and expressed optimism of effective teaching.  

Other speakers were Chairman LCIII Eastern Division Bainomugisha Elias Kachafu, councilor Kyotungire Alice Kanyamunyu who represented the mayor and Kyamate Integrated Model PS  head teacher Twijukye John.

At least 72 three seated desks, 4 desks for teachers and head teacher were also procured.
