MP Caroline Kamusiime pledges to finish construction of a 70 year old vulnerable widow’s house


NEWS- Mauda Zine, a 70 year old woman who lost her husband last Sunday on 18th Sept 2022 has a reason to smile after the Rukiga Woman Member of Parliament Showed her commitment to complete her House.

At the burial of the Late Steven Zine on Monday in Nyakina Village, Kyabuhangwa Parish, Kamwezi sub-County Rukiga District, Hon Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi pledged to complete the House which the late was building for his family. 

The house which was about to be completed has its windows and door spaces covered with banana fibres waiting for their fixing.

On Wednesday, the Legislator delivered the first batch of the building materials which included; 2 Doors and 4 Windows.

Receiving the assortments, Mauda Zine now the widow appreciated the Humility, Kindness, and love that Hon Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi has shown to her family after her husband’s death.

She told our reporter that she was greatly shocked with the death of her husband before completing works on the house he had started building.

Job Akampurira the Kizinga Church School teacher and Jordan Origumisiriza, the Lay Reader at St Mark Runoni COU in Kyongo Parish, Buhangizi Archdeaconry appreciated Hon Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi for extending a helping hand to the widow saying that when spouses die, families left behind at times suffer due to unfinished family projects.

Hon Kamusiime Muhwezi said that there is no way she can be at peace when her people are living a miserable life.

She further said that she is committed to seeing the most privileged people like the People living with disabilities, Orphans, Widows and homeless children being uplifted other than leaving them behind suffering.

Mrs. Mauda Zine and her late husband had 3 children “2 girls and 1 boy” Christopher Kinconco 53, Patrick Tumuheki 40 and Kate Nzerigwe 47.
