Bukimbiri County MP Hon Kwizera faints in Parliament

NEWS– Members of Parliament were today afternoon gripped with panic after Bukimbiri County legislator Hon Eddie Kwizera Wagahungu collapsed inside the house during heated campaigns for the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) elections.

Its reported that
Hon Eddie Kwizera suddenly fainted and blacked out as some of the EALA MP aspirants were sharing their manifestos before being helped out by colleagues and whipped away into an ambulance to hospital.

Hon Kwizera becomes the second Member of Parliament to collapse in parliament after veteran politician and third deputy premier Gen Moses Ali also collapsed earlier this year in the middle of a session.

The sudden collapse of the Member of Parliament raises fears as it comes at a time when Uganda is grappling with the outbreak of Ebola virus diseases which has so far killed several people and infected more than 30 including six medical workers in Mubende District.

The MPs will later today cast their votes for the nine representatives who will represent Uganda at the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) in Arusha, Tanzania.
