Diocese of Kigezi enters partnership to skill Girl-Child in Entrepreneurship

KABALE- The Diocese of Kigezi through Druscila Balaba Vocational training school in partnership with Six European countries have embarked at skilling girl child with entrepreneurial skills.

This was revealed on Wednesday during an onsite supervision of global exchange and training for youth employment services 2 {GET YES 2} by partners from Macedonia, Turkey, Philippines and Venezuela at Druscila Balaba Vocational training school premises in northern division in Kabale Municipality.

According to the Programs coordinator at Druscila Balaba Vocational training school Mr. Areebahona Gerald Kibatenga, the program involves co-partnership between Macedonia, Bulgaria, Venezuela, Turkey, Philippines and Uganda represented by Druscila Baraba Vocational training school.

Kibatenga said that the program intends to empower the youth with entrepreneurship skills and change their mindset in order to get empowered and motivated to create self-employment.

The team leader of partners from European countries Jovan Stalevski from Macedonia told our reporter that the program intends to exchange what they know best, how to support young people to make better employment and to get more skills.

He promised a cordial partnership with Druscila Baraba Vocational training school to transform girl child education for their good future.

The diocese of Kigezi secretary, Rev Amos Tweteise commended the patterns for partnering with the Diocese and their readiness to support the youths and transform them.

Rev Tweteise applauded partners and said that having a heart of thinking about others is the greatest gift on earth for it opens someone’s heart and gives an experience.

Stalevski was in company of Mustafa Erdogon from Istanbul -Turkey, Alexandra Glogorovic from Montenegro and Rodelin Malones from Philippines and they were received at Druscila Balaba Vocational training school by the former Diocese of Kigezi Secretary Rev Canon Erasmus Turyatunga.
