RUKUNGIRI – The caretaker Bishop of North Kigezi diocese Rt. Rev Patrick Tugume Tusigwire has called up mourners to be aware that the earthly tent we live in will be destroyed and all of us will be sheltered in a Godly built house in heaven.
Bishop Tugume was on Tuesday speaking to mourners at the send off of late Irene Akakawasa at their ancestral home in Rwentondo ward, Eastern division in Rukungiri Municipality who died in motorcycle accident at Katabushera hill in Bugangari Sub-county, Rukungiri district on Monday.
The Bishop added that the late Irene did a great work in compassion centres under North Kigezi Diocese for the time she has been with them.

The deceased was a wife to Rev Benson Akakakwasa the Parish Priest of Kitazigurukwa Church of Uganda in North Kigezi Diocese who described the wife as loving and hard working for the time they had lived together on this planet earth.
Her children one by one described their late mother as a knowledgeable and cooperative woman especially in helping their father during school fees times which helped them to get better education in addition to caring for them as she loved children.
The Rukungiri Municipality Mayor Charles Makuru called upon people of Rukungiri to always consider the kind of drivers and riders they are moving with, because some are less trained which has led to increased accidents in Uganda.

Geoffrey Kyomukama the Rukungiri district chairperson on behalf of the government leaders said that it’s sad to lose such an iron lady who was giving knowledge to fellow women and children especially in child development centres she had worked in.

Kyomukama later invited the OC traffic Rukungiri district James Tibeijuka to explain to the mourners about the findings after making their report as traffic.
