School headteacher remanded over murder in Bushenyi district


NEWS- The Bushenyi High court Judge, His Worship Simon Toroko has sent on remand the head teacher of Endinzi high school Biryabarema O’shea together with other two on charges of manslaughter.

The court prosecutor said that it is alleged that on 19th Sept 2022, the head teacher together with Mushabe Francis and Kagarura Jerothom, tortured to death a one Twinomujuni Moses 45, a resident in Kiziba cell, Kagango division in Sheema Municipality whom they accused of stealing a bunch of banana from Oshea’s plantation.

During the initial court appearance on 28th Sept 2022, the accused denied any involvement in the incident that led to the death of the deceased.

Members of the deceased family say that Twinomujuni had a big family he was taking care of thus urging the relevant offices to intervene towards extending enough support to the family.

They added that the deceased had always been a hardworking man without any record of stealing stressing that the killers might have had other intentions.

His Worship Simon Toroko sent the accused on remand until 8th Nov 2022 when they will re-appear in court for hearing of their case.
