“Don’t wait for gov’t to build Schools for you” Vice President Major Alupo tells parents

NEWS– The Vice President Major Jessica Alupo Epel has called upon parents to keep on supporting the schools where they take their children for studies.

The Vice President made the remarks on Friday while presiding over the fundraising ceremony for rehabilitation of a classroom block of Burunga Primary School in Kazo district.

The school seeks to erect modern structures due to increased number of children who are currently studying in old structures which were constructed in 1950s.

The Vice President represented President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who sent a contribution of Ugx 20 million for the cause.

This school is where President Museveni taught in 1967 and first met the former Army Commander, late Gen Elly Tumwine who later joined him to liberate the country.

Vice President Major Jessica Alupo urged the parents not to wait for the government to do a self help project in their communities because they are the direct the beneficiaries.
