Rwenzori united students association-Kabale Chapter commemorate Bakonzo week


NEWS- The people from the Rwenzori region under their association Rwenzori united students association-Kabale Chapter have engaged in cleaning Kabale town as a way of celebrating Bankonzo week.

Muhindo Precious, the patron of the association told our reporter that they decided to clean the town as a way of giving back to community members saying that they are foreigners and are happy with the way people of Kabale are loving and helping them.

She added that they have cleaned the town so that they are recognized in the region and to prove to the public the love they have for the region as people from Kasese.

Muhindo stressed that they have chosen this activity to promote sanitation in the area saying that this will reduce or stop the spread of the some diseases that result from poor sanitation.

She called upon the people of Kabale and Uganda at large to resist from dumping polyethene papers and plastic materials anywhere saying that it is not good for the environment.

The chairperson of the association Kambale Joel Stressed that they have done cleaning in order to promote a health town saying that some places were very dirty like especially parts of Mwanjari and this would result into outbreak of some diseases like cholera, malaria among others to people saying that they are doing this to save the community from such diseases.

He added that they have cleaned the town as a way of appreciating the love of people of Kabale for not being hostile to them saying that they have given them a favorable atmosphere to live in he also said that they are enjoying the place more than their home area.

Sandrah Monic, a member of the association, has thanked the members for the unity and has called upon them to maintain this togetherness.

He has also thanked kabale town members for the cooperation and for loving them saying that same have joined them to do the cleaning.
