KAMPALA- More 8 new cases have been confirmed among samples tested on 09 June 2020 bringing the total confirmed cases to 665.
According to Health Ministry’s statement, 4 of the new cases are truck drivers while the other 4 are among contacts and alerts from Kyotera, Amuru and Kayunga Districts.
The new cases according to the Ministry’s statement signed by the Director General of Health services Dr. Henry Mwebesa, 31 foreign truck drivers who tested positive at the border points were returned to their countries.
The 32 returnees include 16 Kenyans, 8 Tanzanians, 5 Eritreans, 1 Burundian, and one South Sudanese.
Uganda according to the statement has registered 19 total coronavirus recoveries and no deaths related to the illness.
