KAMPALA- The Pallisa Woman Parliamentarian Faith Alupo has today been pronounced dead in what is expected to be Coronavirus.
The late Hon Alupo is said to have been admitted at Mulago National Referral Hospital for a couple of days.
A source closer to the deceased told this Online Publication that Alupo passed on from a Coronavirus gazzated treatment section for COVID-19 at Mulago National Referral Hospital.
If confirmed to have succumbed from the scourge, she will become Uganda’s first lawmaker to die from the novel coronavirus as the country continues to register an increase in cases and fatalities.
Parliament without disclosing the real cause of her deaths posted on their official website confirming the demise of a fellow legislator.
Parliament has since last month through their Public Relations Officer Hellen Kaweesa confirmed that about four legislators had contracted the scourge.
